Hyderabad, December 17: Sircilla MLA Kalvakuntla Tarakarama Rao took charge as the TRS party working president today at around 11.56 am in Telangana Bhavan in the presence of party leaders, MLAs, and MLCs.
The Telangana Bhavan at Jubilee hills was all decked up to welcome the newly appointed Working President. The road adjacent to the Bhavan saw thousands of TRS party supporters chanting the name ‘KTR’.
Earlier this week, TRS party supremo K Chandrashekar Rao appointed KT Rama Rao as the party’s Working President. In the recently-held polls, KTR has played a crucial role in the victory of TRS party and was also one of the star campaigners.
Before taking charge, KT Rama Rao participated in a mammoth rally from Indo-American Hospital to Telangana Bhavan in Jubilee Hills. He garlanded Telangana Talli statue and the statue of the Telangana idealogue the late Prof. Jayashankar, after reaching the party office.
Home Minister Mahmood Ali, and Senior party leaders Harish Rao, Naini Narasimha Reddy, Tummala Nageshwara Rao, Singireddy Niranjan Reddy, Devi Prasad and several MLAs, MLCs extended greetings to KTR at the party office.
Newly elected MLAs Lakshma Reddy, Patnam Narender Reddy, Errabali Dayakar Rao, Gadari Kishore, Srinivas Goud, Jeevan Reddy, Gangula Kamalakar, Chennamaneni Ramesh, and Bollam Mallaiah Yadav were among the leaders who congratulated KTR after he took charge as the Working President of TRS party.
Addressing the gathering at Telangana Bhavan, TRS party working President KT Rama Rao said that TRS party will continue to work for the betterment of farmers, women, youth and all the sections of the society. “I will strengthen TRS party and use my complete energy for the welfare of the people. My sincere thanks to each and everyone for supporting me,” he said.
TRS cadre cheered the newly appointed Working President and unanimously expressed their support to KTR.
